BlueSkySailing Posted July 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2019 Need help on which water taxi to take. Not looking at going to Atlantis. But want to get as close to Margaritaville as I can. It looks like Paradise Island Ferry Terminal is right a Margaritaville but have no clue where to go to catch that ferry on the Cruise Port side. Thank You for any help. scubagirrl Posted July 29, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2019 (edited) The ferry boats are located just to the right of the port exit. Follow the walk a block to the water. There will be plenty of folks hawking "ferry boat to Paradise" along the way. Don't purchase round trip, you'll likely want to just grab a cab going back, although traffic backs up on the bridge around 4:30pm and can take quite a long time. Ferries leave every 30 minutes from 9:30am to 6pm .. Not on a true schedule, just 30 minutes after the last boat filled and left, so they don't adhere to timing.' Just relax, it's an interesting ride. $4 per person and a little tip for the guide. Margaritaville is just across the canal. Just go up the path, cross the street and you can see it from the road. Justicedog Posted July 29, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2019 why wouldn't you want to go back on the water taxi? Because of the time it takes?

If timing is no issue, then go for it. Usually cruisers are in a time crunch.
CILCIANRQTS Posted August 1, 2019 #6 Share Posted August 1, 2019 Also, most of the water taxis are dirty, noisy and smell of engine exhaust. They wait to fill up, usually in the hot sun. The supposed “guide” has been giving the same spiel for 20 years and is of marginal value. The water taxi is nice to do once, but you’ll probably prefer a taxi back. scubagirrl Posted August 1, 2019 #7 Share Posted August 1, 2019 The guide is giving a verbal tour of what you are seeing as you pass thru the harbor. Which hasn't changed much in 20 years... therefore, his "spiel" doesn't change either. Did you want him to make something else up??
