butterfly2 Posted January 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2006 Does Mariner still have Sprinkles inside the ship, on the Promenade Deck, near Ben & Jerry's? In case you do not know what Sprinkles is, it is a self serve frozen ice cream/frozen yogurt machiene. It was there last year when we sailed in April and was opened till about midnight each night. I have heard rumors that this has been removed. Is this true? If so, is there another Fro/Yo self serve machiene on the ship? If so, where is it located?, And what hours does it operate? Thanks! PEBBarney Posted January 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2006 No. It wasn't there when we were on the Mariner in Sept 2005. Sorry. There still have free soft serve ice creme up by the pool decks.
jillybabes Posted January 28, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2006 They removed Sprinkles at the end of 2004. It was too messy and people were slipping and sliding from the spilled ice cream etc. There is frozen yogurt outside of the windjammer on the pool deck... We just returned from the Grandeur and they had the frozen yogurt machine inside of the Windjammer and someone serving you!
cruisingcows Posted January 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2006 Someone asked why Sprinkles was removed at the "Ask the Captain" session on our cruise. We were told it was a matter of economics - it wasn't profitable for Sprinkles to be located right next to Ben & Jerry's. There is self serve frozed yogurt on the pool deck. It opens at noon every day (although sometimes it opened a bit earlier).
Firefighterhoop Posted January 28, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 28, 2006 Just as a note to answer any questions, It is removed on ALL Voyager Class ships now. Again, Next to ben and jerry's probabally wasn't the best spot for it.

People on these boards are always trying to read more into it just like with JR's surcharge. Economics, that is the bottom line.
mrstrod Posted January 28, 2006 #7 Share Posted January 28, 2006 Do you have to pay for Ben & Jerry's?
butterfly2 Posted January 28, 2006 Author #8 Share Posted January 28, 2006 Yes, there is a charge for Ben & Jerry's.
Ocean Boy Posted January 29, 2006 #9 Share Posted January 29, 2006 Quite a hefty one, too, considering the little scoop you get.
