Beaches in Cartagena

I was just wondering if there are any nice beaches close to the port in Cartagena. The only excursion I see dealing with beaches for our cruise on the Celebrity Reflection is an excursion to a beach which cost $184. Not sure if it is worth it or not!!

Having been to Cartagena on a previous cruise in 2014, do consider seeing the sights of the city.  There is so much history, a large fort, an old 1400's walled city, etc.  We are going back in November 2020 on another cruise of Central America.  I can't speak for beaches in Cartagena personally, but do not believe they are the same as what you find in Caribbean ports.  Just a thought....
