Just back from Alaska Cruise 7-21-2019 and the flat rate for a taxi from Vancouver Airport to Cruise Pier has increased $1 to $36 Canadian or $27 USD.  Four of us shared a taxi with all our luggage with no problem.  About a 30 minute ride.  However, immigration at airport was about an hour with long lines at noon time Saturday arrival.

Our cab ride was more like a thrill ride designed to terrify you.  😂  We had no problem paying with a credit card.

The driver used up the "E" ticket you had left over from Disney. I have met his relatives in many cities.

I used a CC for one cab ride and USD for another in May.

Did you book ahead or just get in a big long line?  Am considering taking a town car if lines are really long and nasty.

You can't book cabs in advance - the fixed rates are for Walkups. Yes, the queue can get a little long depending how many other flights arrive about the same time as yours... limos also operate Walkup and the queue for them is almost never more than a handful of people, so we've occasionally jumped in one if the cab queue looks bad.

Price is a little less than double the cab rate for a town car, about $67 incl mandatory tax, to the pier. The fixed rate zones are basically the same parts of town as the cab zones, so most hotels are $32 in cabs or ~$59 in town cars - in theory bigger limos cost more but if it's just two of you and the next limo in the queue is an SUV or stretch they charge the basic town car rate in my experience, only upping the cost if you have the appropriately larger number of pax that would need a bigger vehicle. Tips are discretionary, do as you would in the US.

The line was not too bad and moved quickly.  Maybe 10 minutes total line time.  Taxi are lined up and fill up fast.   We had 4 persons with luggage and the taxi starter got up a bigger taxi to hold us and the luggage.  The immigration line was much longer and more time consuming.  The USD rate ($27) is very reasonable for the extra 10 minutes in line.

You're the best!  Thank you for the info!  We'll wing it based on what it looks like at the time.
