kajunkel225 Posted August 5, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2019 My husband and I are planning an anniversary trip next summer and want a stress free high end experience. We cruised as Star class this summer on Allure of the Seas and loved the experience. Is NCL's Haven amenities comparable? Are there different levels of service depending on room type? Thanks in advance
tomservo Posted August 5, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2019 I posted a related thread comparing the 2 products, one in each of the respective forums. You may find the information you seek in the threads. RCCL thread NCL thread
Rare graphicguy Posted August 6, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2019 Never sailed RCCL Star class, but I have sailed RCCL before. I have sailed NCL Haven....3 times. The level of Haven service is the same regardless of Haven cabin type you sail in. From what I’ve read, Star class is similar in that they have a concierge that does the same functions as the NCL concierges. I’ve never seen a mention of a Butler on Star Class, though. NCL’s Butlers take care of everything to do with serving you inside your cabin. The NCL Concierge takes care of all reservations and customer service functions, plus they escort you on/off the ship (usually subverting crowded passenger elevators in favor of much less crowded crew elevators). Plus, they get you into sold out shows (with the best seats in the house) and can get restaurant reservations regardless if the venue is sold out. If you have any more Haven questions, I will do my best to help.
AlexandNessa Posted August 6, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2019 It's really hard to top Royal Star Class. While you'll probably enjoy the Haven Courtyard and restaurant/bar (though you didn't specify which NCL ship), Star Class is much more personalized and all inclusive. The only thing so much better in Haven is their bathrooms, bathrobes, towels, dressing areas. Royal was weak in this regard, IMHO. Rare rxlowry Posted August 6, 2019 #7 Share Posted August 6, 2019 If you want a stress free high end experience, I'd also suggest pricing the luxury lines or premium as well. The luxury ones can be priced closer than you think.
