Disembarkation in Southampton UK

Could anyone tell me the best way to transfer from Southampton Cruise Port to LHR? Also what would be the earliest flight arrangements we could make? The ship arrives at 7:00 am. TIA

Back in 2017 we used Smiths for Airports. Cost was 74 GBP at that time.

We docked at 8:00am and were picked up at 9:30am and we were far too early for a 4:00pm flight. I would allow at least 2 hours for the journey as you never know what traffic will be like especially if it is a week day.

Do NOT attempt to do it by train, generally 2+ hours; 2 changes and £40+ each and you have to get to Southampton Central station first.

We also used Smiths-great service and courteous,friendly drivers ( all retired military)

One arrival,we toured Westminster ( wanted to see the round table) and on our way back,we stopped in Windsor.

we used Blackberry cars for pre and post cruise this July

 

pick up London Kings Cross station direct to Southampton

£110 for 2 of us and our luggage in a saloon

2 hours journey

 

return journey we got together with 4 others from our roll call

£175 for 6 of us and luggage in an 8 seater van

drop off Heathrow and then on to central London

just over an hour to get to Heathrow from Southampton
