There are all sorts of festivities. Santa shows up for the kids and passes out presents. There is caroling and gingerbread house decorating. Its a great time. We were on the Ovation last year going through the Sounds when Santa came down from the North star with his elves and marched around the deck.  They passed out hot chocolate and cookies too.  We cruise every Xmas because I shut down my business at that time.  Love it!!! And dont get me started about New Years! RCCL knows how to throw a party!!

there will be a visit with Ho Ho Claus and a small gift for the kids.    maybe some caroling.  a 'special' holiday menu with all the fixins' at dinner.  other theme appropriate  activities throughout the cruise.  the entire ship will be decorated  beautifully.

there will also be large multigenerational family groups and they all want 5 poses at every photo backdrop.

it was too hectic for us so going forward we would sail the week before if we go again that time of year.

Thanks for the replies.  If we go the grandchildren will range from 3 to 20 years.  So it sounds like all would find something different to enjoy.
