Venice New Cruise Ship Regulations

“Venice will no longer permit cruise ships to dock after the vessels were blamed for damaging the city's foundations and ruining the skyline. The Italian government made the announcement yesterday, revealing cruise ships would now be rerouted away from the historic city centre.20 hours ago”

 

 

I wonder how this will affect our overnight in Venice next May?

True, and although most Oceania ships (cruise ships in general??) have been docking at the new Passenger Terminal for years now,  it looks like the berths "in town" will henceforth be available only to  the yachting crowd.

 

Tough to assimilate, but WE are the disenfranchised vis-à-vis the one percenters.
