ALWAYS CRUZIN Posted August 14, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2019 The last Royal ship we were on was the Serenade of the Seas. We were also on the Harmony a year ago. I do not remember what they required to play the slots. On Carnival you can just use your Sail and Sign card and it goes to your room bill. Also after cursing with many different cruise lines, not all ships owned by the same cruise line do it the same way. So, what do they do on the Allure? Only cash? I can just set up my ships card with a pin number on a machine and use it to charge the plays to my account. No 3% charge to do that or any charge? I used cash, but was told I could do the card. I rather use cash as I know what I’m spending lol

rt1092 Posted August 14, 2019 #6 Share Posted August 14, 2019 You can go to the cage and get vouchers for the machines. If not Prime or above they will charge you 5%. The least money you can take is $50.
ALWAYS CRUZIN Posted August 14, 2019 Author #7 Share Posted August 14, 2019 So the best bet is take cash. Wish they did it like Carnival.
sandebeach Posted August 14, 2019 #8 Share Posted August 14, 2019 On Navigator during the gaming lessons yesterday, the dealer told folks they could charge at the table and it is a 5% fee (unless Prime casino level) versus using the ATM at a 6% fee. For slots, you can do a Room Charge right at the machine and there is no additional fee.

You just stick in your room card and do a pin number and charge what ever to the room like $100.00 to play and there is no charge at all?

This has been a change over the past months, past two years I always had to go to the Cashier’s to do a room charge and then I either received cash or slot vouchers, again depending on the ship. I have Prime casino level so there was no fee. But on most of the ships I have been on in the past 10 months, they changed the slots so that you could charge your room right at the machine. sellwingri Posted August 15, 2019 #12 Share Posted August 15, 2019 I just got off Allure and the slots didn’t have the option to charge your room.
