kokopelli-az Posted August 16, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2019 Sorry, don't have information about the Sun specifically, but here is what NCL says about accessibility on their ships. Maybe someone who has been on the Sun can chime in. https://www.ncl.com/about/accessible-cruising
don't-use-real-name Posted August 20, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2019 While I am not HC - I have helped those about the ships. I have been on SUN DAWN STAR and know enough about the deck and floor plans to negotiate the maze. Posted a minute ago about your other post: Don't wait too long to book the HC balcony - otherwise the options would not be too bad for an inside cabin one of those with a sideways floor plan having slightly more useable room space. The degree of HC (wheelchair-scooter-etc) can be a bigger factor than location having a bigger cabin entry door and bath showering facility YMMV Note that if you need a HC cabin and some non-HC guest has booked it - NCL may make an attempt to solve this problem - have a discussion with NCL Now as for the SUN - nothing wrong with this ole lady of the sea - you will like not having a taxing effort to go from end to end and top to bottom on this smaller ship and you certainly don't need the roof top amusement park ! QuickieGlenn Posted August 21, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted August 21, 2019 thanks for the reply's. I have taken a few cruises on NCL before, it is hard enough to find a cruise that goes where you want then to find out if there are any HC rooms left. New ships are nice but they go to the same old stop\s
raindropsalways Posted August 22, 2019 #5 Share Posted August 22, 2019 I have not sailed on the Sun, but have been on a number of the old NCL ships and have always been pleased with their accommodations. Yes, my friend, “don't-use-real-name” is correct. He has had to tolerate me on a couple cruises and I do not think I ever ran over him once. NCL's accessible cabins have always been comfortable. Both Ruth and I had our scooters and there was always ample space for both. Have a wonderful cruise, Betty
