Rare cruising sister Posted August 31, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2019 What is the best mode of transportation from the airport to our hotel. We are staying at the Quest on Queen pre cruise in March? We are arriving at 6 AM 😟 from LA. It will be a Saturday morning. I am still trying to decide whether to go directly to hotel drop off luggage and walk around to stay awake or see if I could hire someone to pick us up and tour a bit until we can check in. I am not familiar with the area to know if we can explore on our own. Due to scheduling we only have one day pre cruise. Thanks for any information. nchpmn Posted September 1, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2019 Haven't travelled it myself in NZ, but the SkyBus is generally a great option (used it in Surfers Paradise, Australia, and other places). https://www.skybus.co.nz/ Basically a airport-to-main strip bus service. For Quest on Queen, there's a stop (Stop 11) across the road from your hotel, apparently. https://www.skybus.co.nz/find-your-stop

Rare Keith1010 Posted September 1, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 1, 2019 Best means different things to different people. For me I would ask the hotel to arrange a private car to get you to the hotel. I know I would be very tired as I was arriving to Sydney from the USA so suspect you will too. Once at the hotel even if your room is not available they can store your luggage for you. To me the best thing for jet lag is to get right outside and walk and that does wonders between the daytime sun and getting air in your lungs. Auckland is easy to do on your own. This is what we would do. Keith
