Shaver John Posted September 5, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2019 Does anyone know if Princess ships have Pickle Ball equipment, like they have ping-pong equipment such as paddle and balls. We will be on the Sky and just wondering what we will need to take. Is equipment for Pickle Ball available on any of the Ships?
jparker10508 Posted September 5, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2019 I know for sure it was available on the Caribbean Princess. If you play at home though you might want to bring your own paddle as the ones they offer are heavy and well used. You'll have fun in the wind! ejf1600 Posted September 5, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 5, 2019 Just did the Regal Princess cruise in the Baltics last month where there was one net, and plenty of balls and paddles (although we brought our own paddles). The center court was striped for two pickleball courts and we were told another net was ordered- it had been damaged by kids in the previous sailing. We had 15-20 players for the scheduled open play each sea day. Coral Princess similarly had a net and paddles and balls in May, but no one ever showed up except by wife and I. Yehootu Posted September 5, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 5, 2019 The Island had balls and equipment last year, the Grand didn't this summer.
oweknottin Posted September 9, 2019 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2019 Crown princess last year had pickleball paddles available. Played a few games did notice balance an issue and one day wind was an issue.
kwahl1 Posted September 9, 2019 #6 Share Posted September 9, 2019 Just off the Regal in the Baltic, YES WE HAD PICKLEBALL. The equipment isn't the best, but neither are 90% of the players. The set up a second net, makeshift-type at best, so they could have two games going on at a time, and maybe 8-10 waiting to get on. If you think you need you own paddle bring it, but I wouldn't demand it. They have paddles and balls.

On the Island when they did the add ons, they put 2 large steel structures right in the middle of each of the shuffle board courts. Recent photos show that they have corrected that.
