So if I choose “up to four devices” plan i can use my iPad and my husband can use his?  Would we have different log ins?  Would we need to be using our devices at same time.  Confused as no one person Would need to use 4 devices

> So if I choose “up to four devices” plan i can use my iPad and my husband can use his?

A: Yup.

> Would we have different log ins?

A: No.  If the package was charged under your name, he would be allowed and expected to use that login, too.

> Would we need to be using our devices at same time.

A: "Need to"?  Nope.  "Be able to"? Yup.

> Confused as no one person Would need to use 4 devices

A: I suspect they chose "4" so a couple could each use a tablet for entertainment and email while able to leave both of their smartphones rigged 24/7 for incoming calls via WiFi Calling.

You do not want to do that afloat.

When you set up your smartphone as a hotspot, it uses it's cellular radio for it's uplink, and it's WiFi radio to connect to the supported devices.

Several current Samsung phones can share their wifi connection.

Seems rather useless, except in cases like this.

Interesting.

Quoting from my Samsung Galaxy S9's -> Settings -> Connections -> Mobile Hotspot and Tethering -> Mobile Hotspot:

"Turn your phone into a WiFi access point.  Up to 10 other devices will be able to use your phone's mobile data to access the internet."

Could you share the Samsung model and settings to accomplish WiFi to WiFi routing?

Nevermind  ::blush::  It's the next option down:  "WiFi Sharing".

Interestingly, when you activate it, you get a popup:

"Make sure you have permission from the WiFi provider before sharing your connection."

I did it with a Samsung Galaxy S8+, when in one hotel, I simply could not get my roku to connect to the hotel wifi.

I did that for a while, but it was tiresome; so I spoofed the roku mac address and logged in ... and then carried

on with the roku.

That's what I have...a Samsung phone. I was able to share wifi.

Samsung calls it something like "Wifi connection sharing".

I had to take special care to not fat finger that into "Wife connection sharing"...

...which is not yet available.

Any suggestions on where I can find a travel router? And what to look for or a suggested brand?

Two thumbs up on this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P5QDQ1B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It has a big rechargeable battery, and can also be used as a USB charger.

If you plug in a thumb drive, you can serve local content on generated wifi.

I had a previous model -- but I upgraded, as this can handle hotel login pages.

During a recent hotel stay, the wired connecton in the room was about 10 times

faster than the hotel wifi.    I served the wired connection for my family.

A buddy of mine uses this on long flights -- he fills it up with kids videos -- his kids can all connect their tablets and be served videos.

I will be testing my travel router GL.iNet GL-AXT1800 (Slate AX) on Princess next week.  I bought it from Amazon and it works perfectly in hotels. I might also test it being powered from the hidden 220 volt outlet under the bed and/or European outlets on the desk using a UROPHYLLA 2-in-1 bypass adapter - from Amazon.  The GL-AXT-1800 wall wart says that it will accept 100-240 volts, 50-60 cycles.
