Who charters a whole ship?

We were booked at a hotel in Cancun for the jazz festival one year.  They moved a lot of guests to different hotels on the island.  I don't think I would have been too happy about that as I research my trips pretty extensively before I go.  

Well, it all worked out ok except the pool closed at 4 PM every day ... in Mexico!!  They had a lot of the performers staying there and they needed the space to set up for their performances.  Some of the restaurants onsite were also closed for private groups of performers.  So, while we had the opportunity to see some great performers, which was quite unexpected, we also didn't didn't have full use of the facilities at that hotel.  4 PM is pretty early to pack up from the pool and head up to your room.
