Transportation from port everglades to west palm beach airport

Anyone have experience getting off cruise in Fort Lauderdale and needing to get to West Palm Beach airport?

If you look around the board, it has been discussed many times. You can rent a car. You can Uber. There is a shuttle service...can't remember the name. What time is your flight?

You could also look at Brightline and Tri Rail train options. Uber, shuttle or car service will take about an hour.

We have narrowed it to Uber or rental car?  Husband is worried about time spent for pick up/ drop off at rental companies.  Are there any automatic toll roads between the port and pbi?  Anyone with personal experience?

If you use I-95, you will not encounter toll roads.  If you use the Florida Turnpike, may areas in Broward County now have automatic tolls.

Also, If the flight is at noon, you might want to use Uber or Lyft.  There are several complaints on this board regarding lengthy wait times for pick-ups at the local rental car offices (vs. picking up at the airport).
