FLL to Port Everglades - Taxi or Uber

I guess the thread title pretty much says it.  First time out of Port Everglades.  Which is the better option for cost and convenience?  

 

I guess that I should also ask about taxi/Uber availability when disembarking.

we used  a taxi

it was about $15 to FLL + tip  from PE  probably similar to  PE  but we usually fly in a day early

They were lined up across from the terminal at the port

Have sailed out of Port Everglades several times.  Super easy.  Go Downstairs and get your bags.  Go outside to Taxi Stand.  (Have Passports ready to enter port).  Catch a cab at the taxi stand.  In 20 minutes or less you'll be at your ship.  My last trip for 5 in a van (still a taxi) was $25 with the tip.  Easy - peasy.  Depending on which approach FLL has you on that day, you usually fly right over the ships.  You could almost walk to the port - it's that close.  But all freeway to get there.

I should point out the return trip works the exact same way and is incredibly easy.  No shortage of cabs on disembark day.

Sedan taxis and van taxis charge the same price so if you have more than 3 people and/or lots of luggage, ask the taxi coordinator to assign you to a van.
