Uber or Rental Car?

We are staying at the Marriott Beach Place and will be attending a hockey game at BB&T Center, plus shopping at Sawgrass Mills which is across the street from it.  Would it be cheaper to rent a car or take Uber do you think?  I have priced a car at $72  CDN for day, and Uber estimate is about $30US, but that isn't during surge pricing during a game.

Anyone have experience with this?

TIA

I would think cheaper for Uber or Lyft since you did not take into account parking your car.  That will be big bucks for a game.

I cannot speak for surge pricing on Lyft but have seen it on Uber.  I always check both and see who is cheaper.  A lot of times the driver drives for both.

Don't forget to factor in gas too.

if U/L is in the range that doesn't make you cringe

I suggest this as better so as to avoid driving in the greater Miami / Lauderdale area

as we say 'the rules are different here'  😱

(p.s. from your hotel to Saw Grass I think you hit a toll road with no cash pay option . . . so know how your rental company handles this <extra $>)
