patrickc Posted January 31, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2006 I can't seem to confirm -- is the ship's casino closed for the 4 days we're docked in Bermuda? I called X Celebrity Capt Club & they actually said that they "pull the ship out into Int'l water at night so the casino can open."-- That just does not seem logical! We're docked so people can come & go. So, I ask, does anyone know if the casino closes entire time docked in Bermuda?
smeyer418 Posted January 31, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2006 The Casinos are closed in the Ports of Bermuda...and the Zenith as most of the ships in Bermuda stay overnight and even when they move between ports never go far enough out for the Casinos to open. You obviously spoke to someone who doesn't take the Bermuda cruise.
CaribbeanBound Posted February 1, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2006 They are Definately closed while in port. (In fact, I've never been in a port anywhere that the casino is open). http://www.lavasurfer.com/info/bermuda.html
mek Posted April 8, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2006 It's been a while since I was on a Bermuda cruise, but the other thing we noticed was the entertaiment while in port consisted mostly of ship's crew/ passenger talent. We wern't sure if this was because they figured most people would be out in the evening or if there was some sort of regulation/laws concerning entertainment while in Bermuda, but no big shows while in port. cruiserssandr Posted April 8, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 8, 2006 We have cruised to Bermuda 7 times on the Norwegian Majesty. Yes the casinos are closed while in port. The ships stores are also closed during that time. The Bermuda government regulates what type of shows the cruise ships can have while in port. Also the Majesty is docked in St George the whole time and there is a noise ordinance so all top side activity has to stop by midnight.
