Non-Refundable Deposit

Hi All - In April, I had purchased an interior stateroom for a cruise with my DH on the Equinox next October.  It was with a non-refundable deposit.  I am thinking I want to upgrade to a balcony.  Do I loose the deposit?  I have read all the rules, but still can't figure this out.  Maybe a $100 charge for each person?  Please help!  Thank you!

Upgrade? That word is music to Royal Caribbean's ears! They will take care of you.

No charge if same ship, same sailing.  But you may not retain the same promotional 'perks'.

I didn't add on any of the perks.  I am thinking of doing this without telling hubby.  We had our first balcony in March on the Summit, and he was over the moon.  I keep picturing his face when he sees a balcony room.  That in itself would be worth it.
