Land Tours in Barbados

We did a ship-sponsored half-day excursion called "Barbados Coast to Coast" when we sailedon Serenade of the Seas in December 2017 but I guess it mustn't be the same one as ours was operated by Foster and Ince. It was a vey pleasant excursion. You can read my impressions of it and see a couple of pics in the post-cruise review I did: https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/topic/2483258-just-back-from-serenade-11-day-southern-caribbean/page/4/?tab=comments#comment-53587485

I think that link should take you straight to the appropriate post but if it only takes you to the thread, the post number is #78.

I absolutely loved Barbados and hope to go back one day. Enjoy.

Our first visit, we just walked out of the port building and caught a van to take a tour. We hadn't scheduled anything in advance because we were newbies.....We spent most of the day with another couple and were taken to all the high points. I think it was about $40 a person.

Most of the time, that's a great way to see a lot of the island!

Engage a local taxi and give him/her some idea of what your interests are.

This is St. John's Parish Church, overlooking the island's East coast.
Great views on a clear day!

We have found what seems like the perfect tour for us. Has anyone taken the "Scenic Barbados Coast To Coast 1/2 Day Tour"  By: RCR Tours or have any feedback concerning this tour? We will be traveling Dec 8, 2019 aboard the Freedom of the Seas.

Hi Cruisamaniac, we'll be on FOTS as well on that sailing.  If you haven't joined our roll call I hope you will.  We are also still trying to figure out some kind of land tour this time around since last time we did a sailing excursion while in Barbados 2.5 years ago.

We took a good land tour in Barbados, through the ship, which

stopped at St. John's Church, Andromeda Gardens, and a landhouse where we had drinks

and a rest.

We went all the way from town and back again another route and experienced

much of the central island.
