Movies in Buena Vista Theater

Is it realistic to expect the new Star Wars movie, The Rise of Skywalker, to be shown in the Buena Vista Theater if we're sailing on a December 30th, 2019 cruise on the Magic?

Either the Buena Vista or Walt Disney Theater.  If the demand is big enough they use both.

If it's in the theaters it will be on the Magic.  For Star Wars most likely in the WD Theater.

how long do they usually run new releases? We are on the Dream on 1/13/2020...wonder if it will still be playing a month later?

Most likely it will still be showing onboard.  Movies onboard run longer than they do in land theaters.

There's no question it will still be there in January. I'd expect it to be around until late spring or early summer, possibly longer.
