Still don't know where the shiny floors are? The main area I find to be slippy is when I walk into the main dining room - there is the shiny floor in the entrance which then joins onto the carpet (especially on Arcadia). I think they cost about £6 a pair. I had them put on to kitten heels and felt quite confident walking etc and on the stairs which can sometimes be a little slippery. Thats a good idea, hadn't thought about that - have a short cruise coming up early next year might try it with one pair and see
sheriff's wife Posted November 1, 2019 #28 Share Posted November 1, 2019 I was invited to a wedding at the Royal Naval College and had been warned by the host re polished floors. I had rubber soles put on my kitten heels and pleased to report I felt confident all day. Several guests slipped but thankfully I was not one of them. Should have gone to their cobblers... Good luck with your shoes. I had natural colour rubber soles put on but they come in black too.
Tablelamp Posted November 2, 2019 #29 Share Posted November 2, 2019 I wear ordinary black shoes with a small heel, except on one occasion, when I ventured forth in a long black evening dress, only to be recalled by my cabin steward as I still had my white p and o slippers on. Just wear smart shoes and don’t rush about. 1
