SteveAndBecky Posted February 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2006 What exactly constitutes you as being a diamond memeber? The number of RCCL vacations and/or the types of rooms you have stayed in? Just curious...
sally r Posted February 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2006 After your 10th completed cruise or if you have 10 credits. You get credits for: taking a cruise booking a JS or higher catagory cruises 12 nights or longer You must join the Crown and Anchor Society. This is a really brief rundown but check out the RCl site under Crown and Anchor for more details.

AFT_LOVER Posted February 1, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 1, 2006 First you have to have a Crown & Anchor number, then start cruising. Any stateroom earns you 1 credit per cruise unless it is 2 weeks then you get 2 credit. But if you have a JS or high category of suite, you get 2 credits for a 1 week & 3 credits for 2 weeks. Earn a total of 10 credits for Diamond or be an Elite member of Captain Club with Celebrity. Diamond members with RCCL gain much better perks than the Elites with Celebrity. First off Radiance Class & up have a Concierge Lounge where Diamond & Diamond Plus (26 cruise credits+) get free cappucino. latte, espresso 24.7, free cocktails (top shelf) 5-9 PM daily, where ice rinks are on Voyager & Unltra Voyager class you get front & center seats from onsiger who will also book you into specialty restaurants, shore excursions nad anything else you want. Celebrity gives you none of this, they are a nickel & diming you company. Visit www.rccl.com & click on Crown & Anchor to read the list of all perks. Wildroze Posted February 1, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 1, 2006 Do you have to reserve seats for the ice show or do they automatically assign them to you?
SteveAndBecky Posted February 1, 2006 Author #8 Share Posted February 1, 2006 Ok...So now...If i were to cruise with Celebrity, would i still gain points? How does that work.
sanjoseca Posted February 1, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 1, 2006 It's 2 credits for 12+ days, not two weeks. Diamond + is attained at 24 cruises or credits, not 26. You get the Diamond + perks on your twentyfifth cruise or crusie credit. Credits earned on Celebrity do not transfer to RCCL, nor vice versa. You just get the corresponding perks already earned. 'You have to ask for the ice show tickets.....sometimes they are on the Concierge desk for the taking.
medic123 Posted February 1, 2006 #10 Share Posted February 1, 2006 Ok...So now...If i were to cruise with Celebrity, would i still gain points? How does that work. No they do not combine points between RCCL and X. If you are Diamond with either line you bring your status with you on the Sister line. And get the perks from it. IE: X cruisers that have 10+ cruises are treated as Diamond on RCCL.
Merion_Mom Posted February 1, 2006 #11 Share Posted February 1, 2006 Do you have to reserve seats for the ice show or do they automatically assign them to you?Neither. You get a free ticket for admission to a specific performance, you show up and take whatever seat(s) you find.

While I agree with most of this, "top shelf" can be misleading. On the Enchantment this fall we asked the Concierge is he could get Myers Rum for the lounge as they only had Bacardi Gold. He checked with the F & B manager, who refused. Please don't expect any and all brands to be available, even though they may be name liquors. First you have to take one RCI cruise, then you can join C&A, then you take more RCI cruises to earn more points. The easiest way to think of it (at least for me) is this: 1 point for any cruise 1 extra point for JS and above 1 extra point for 12 nights or longer Maximum of 3 points for any single cruise beachchick
