Self parking at POM Terminal J

Can anyone comment on the parking at POM?  We are about 2 hours from POM, so it doesn't make sense to get a hotel the night before, unless we could leave our vehicle there during the cruise.  I'd love to hear others' experience parking at the terminal.  Is the parking very accessible to the terminal? Is there a shuttle from parking to terminal? Or maybe it's well within walking distance?  Is the parking area safe?

Are there any hotels in the immediate area of the port that allow long term parking while you are on the cruise?

Thanks for any comments.

It is  a short walk  across the road from the Terminal   no need for  a shuttle

When you go over the bridge keep to the right  you will see the signs for Term J

We've found that parking at Terminal J tower garage is very easy for Saturday and Sunday departures. Especially if you want inside (not roof top) parking.  You drop bags with porters at the curb in front of the terminal, and make two left turns and into the garage

Pay on the way in, exit quickly on the way out. Left on the Port road takes you out to Biscayne Boulevard, bypassing traffic elsewhere in the Port and tunnel.
