Reading one of the news articles about the switch. According to the article:

"This change will impact all of Carnival’s ships across their North American fleet."

 and also:

"Those who simply can’t go a week without a Coke are allowed to bring one carton of 12-ounce-or-less cans, per person, aboard for their own personal consumption."

Another article stated:

"When the conversion from Coca-cola to Pepsi is complete in January 2020, a great portfolio of PepsiCo beverages will be served onboard all Carnival Cruise Line ships departing from North American homeports.

So this article says all Carnival Cruise Line ships. It doesn't say Carnival Cruise Corporation ships which would include Princess.  It also says North American home ports. To me that means it's still an experiment as they're not yet willing to ship the product overseas in those massive shipping containers.

For now, no changes to the other lines but yes, I'd expect changes in the near future if the Pepsi product switch works out. Economies of scale are a major draw to the bean-counters.

Very confusing. On what ship? I just returned from the Magic and always had Coke Zero

The issue, simply, is that while Coca Cola products are available worldwide, Pepsi's aren't.

Did you notice the "North American fleet" caveat in the press release?

According to the Drink package information. Right now you get fountain sodas. It also says. They will be installing the Coke freestyle soda machines. So it certainly sounds like Coke is there to stay.
