Couple questions

We leave out of Galveston tomorrow and will be in Cayman on Tuesday.  Forecast calls for a beautiful day!

1.  We are not much into shore excursions, preferring to have a leisurely morning on the ship, then wander off when the crowds clear out and do our own thing.  We'd just like to walk around, have a beer and a good lunch, etc.  Not much on shopping but like to "Window shop."  Will the ship likely be close enough to town so that we can have a little walkabout?

If by chance, we choose not to leave the ship on a port day, I assume that there'll be food available, at least on the Lido Deck?  I'm thinking there won't be much other activity on ship while in port.

2.  I read posts where people already know how many other ships are scheduled in port they day they'll be there.  How do you find that out?

Yes to both of these questions. I strongly recommend you get off the ship and walk around a little, even if just for a short time. It's a tender port and the tender ride itself is nice

All of the shopping is within easy (and clean) walking distance.

The ship  will be up and running on a port day...except for the shops , casino and dining room.  The Buffet is open every day...as will be many of the  smaller eating venues.
