Best Way to Get to Paradise Point from Crown Bay!

The new Island Hopper water shuttle/taxi! OMG! Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas was docked at Crown Bay and I wanted to go to Havensight. When I walked to the taxi area I noticed a sign for the Island Hopper water shuttle so I decided to check it out.

 

$5 per person to go to town or Havensight. $15 if you want to ride all day between the ports and town.

 

Wonderful experience! Nice breeze. Beautiful views. Lively music. The Caribbean at its best!

I always thought a water taxi would be nice in St. Thomas like they have on St. Maarten. The website lists an all day pass at $18.00. I do think that is a little pricey. St. Maarten charges $7.00.

The taxi union have effectively blocked water taxis for many years. The fact someone got this started is amazing... You can't compare apples (St Maarten) to oranges (the USVI).

Interesting about the taxi union. As far as comparing the two islands, there may be different factors that weigh into the pricing structures but that doesn't mean the two can't be compared.
