jjdmom8 Posted November 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2019 We are new to Norwegian but not new to cruising. We booked the take all offers package, which includes the adult beverage package. Looking online at our summary, there are options to upgrade to premium beverage package and a couple others. Now I am confused. What exactly is included in the PROMO adult beverage package? Thanks in advance!
zqvol Posted November 28, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2019 Short answer: Any adult beverage that is under $15 including wine, beer and hard liquor. No bottled water or specialty coffees.
Rare JamieLogical Posted November 28, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2019 (edited) The promo package includes a lot. Any alcohol or fountain soda under $15. There is no limit on the number of drinks per day and they will serve you two drinks at a time. If you choose to partake of any beverages over $15, you pay the difference plus a 20% gratuity on the difference. So a $16 drink would cost you $1.20. Drinks over $15 mostly include higher shelf liquor and wines. If you aren't picky about brands, you won't have to worry about it. If you are a heavy wine drinker and most of the wines you like are over the $15 limit, if you drink a lot of specialty coffee, and a lot of bottled water, then the upgrade might be worth it, but I would never come close to covering the cost of the upgrade with those thing. I am content with "well drinks", beer, and the buffet coffee. And I just bring a refillable water bottle, so no need for bottled water. sparkmaster Posted November 28, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 28, 2019 Booze wise, it covers what most people would probably want. All the beers, probably about a dozen wines by the glass, and a pretty good selection of liquors. I know there is a bar menu floating around somewhere on this forum. Rare Liljo22 Posted November 28, 2019 #5 Share Posted November 28, 2019 Unless you are a whiskey/scotch drinker or like higher end wines, the Premium package will be good enough for you. There will be a few specialty cocktails that will be a little bit over but you can pay the difference. Here is what is included in the upgrade as comparison. You can still order these but would just pay the couple dollars. https://www.ncl.com/sites/default/files/premium-plus-beverage-package.pdf
