Notifications in browser

I think this is a browser issue, I use Google chrome.  When I come to the website I get a notification that I have XYZ updates, forum posts etc.  I try clicking on the message but it doesn't take me anywhere.  Is this a browser issue or something I can fix on the website?

What I see is a bar near the bottom of the screen.  It says "Show Replies" but it doesn't seem to do anything.  I thought it would take me to the latest posts.  But sometimes I can't even seem to get the Show Replies link.

It can take some time once you have tapped / clicked the notice. I generally use the Notifications list (bell icon) instead of clicking on a browser notification.
