Celebrity Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse, Silhouette and Reflection - What & why?

The Silhouette after February will be the first S Class ship to have the full Revolution program although what they are doing now has changed from the original plan which involved adding the suites that the Reflection has in the space occupied by the Sky lounge on the other ships. Those suites are no longer happening.

I know both the Reflection and Silhouette both have the alcoves on the lawn. They both also feature the Lawn Club Grill which serves steaks and seafood in a very nice setting. I've sailed both and enjoy the Silhouette the most. I have not sailed any other S class ship. The casino still has a real dealer for texas hold em as I understand the other ships went with electronic.

Reflection (I think) is the only S class ship that has a nice group of S1 Sky Suites on Deck 12 at the “hump,” convenient to elevators, with nice views. IIRC, they were originally “Spa Suites” before that concept was abandoned early on. I liked that room location so well that we booked it again a couple of years later.

 

But my new favorite is Silhouette, since we tried her for the first time last month. The atmosphere and service overall was the best I've seen on Celebrity, the ship & entertainment seemed well-managed, and the crew seemed more warm and friendly. Even the coffee everywhere was better...and fresh at 5:30 in the morning up in the Ocean View Cafe.

 

Our friends sailed with us (First-timers on Celebrity but highly experienced cruisers who book suites) on Silhouette and liked it so well, they just booked a transatlantic to Southampton on her for this year.
