Taking mini bar drinks into MDR

Recommended Posts

I am going on my 1st short cruise at xmas week , 3 nights  on Ruby Princess . Inside cabin .

I am elite status , I usually get double the entitlement of drinks in my mini-bar , as I pay for double price but travel as a single .

Only ever done 12 nights or more with Princess , normally have a balcony to sit on & enjoy a few drinks in the evenings from said mini -bar .

What is the etiquette for taking the drinks into the Main Dining Room , either made up or in the little bottles ?

I have never seen anyone take the little bottles in on previous cruises  , but have seen people walking in with made up drinks .

What a dilemma ! I don't think I can sit in my little room drinking them .

But can see me indulging around the ship ,if I do not cause offence to other passengers & crew .

What are your thoughts or experiences , cheers Taffy .

I was on Emerald Princess last week and my husband took 1 bottle of beer per night from our fridge to the main dinning room.  He did ask the waiters first and they said it was OK.   He carried it in his pocket and left it on the table.   They got a glass for him and poured the drink and said there were no gratuities due.
