alberta41 Posted December 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2019 We were up graded to an ocean view cabin # 12702 at the front of the ship. Has anyone had a cabin like this? Do you feel a lot of movement?
crystalspin Posted December 14, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2019 Can't answer your question, other than I have stayed almost as high and almost as far forward on the HAL Zuiderdam -- a significantly shorter and less massive ship, on a trans-Atlantic, and felt just a little "sway" when lying in bed. You might be interested in this video of 12100, just to the port side of the forward aisle.
alberta41 Posted December 15, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted December 15, 2019 Thank you. I have a patch prescribed from my Dr so I should be fine. Appreciate the video too. Getting super excited now.

nyc2pdx Posted January 3, 2020 #6 Share Posted January 3, 2020 I was on the Joy in December in a Suite-13708. It is right above that stateroom. I felt it, but I don't get seasick, so I was fine. We had some high seas the last day, and it was definitely rocking up and down.
alberta41 Posted January 3, 2020 Author #7 Share Posted January 3, 2020 Thank you for the info. I'm hoping I will be fine. I have a sea sickness patch. On the days/nights that the seas weren't rough you were fine though?
nyc2pdx Posted January 3, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 3, 2020 absolutely no issues. Just be ready for the hike from the elevators to your stateroom. It is a mighty long hallway after having fun all night!
nyc2pdx Posted January 3, 2020 #9 Share Posted January 3, 2020 (edited) You'll have a wonderful time. The Joy is a great ship. Go see Elements. It snows! Edited January 3, 2020 by nyc2pdx
