CLS/KAS Posted December 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2019 Very specific question.. in the past 2 years since Carnival has had check in literally at the baggage claim.. Can I check in there as usual, and then instead of using their bus.. jump into a Lyft ride to the Miami Port..and walk on, just like you do when you take their bus... from Ft Lauderdale Carnival wants $30 pp to and $30 back pp.. Lyft is roughly $40-$50 one way for two...I see the lines of all the people who came in the night before... and are sitting outside the terminal..waiting... its crazy.. tks
BNBR Posted December 19, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 19, 2019 Carnival has check-in at the Fort Lauderdale baggage claim? Never heard that before. Which terminal? Why not just skip any of that and Lyft to the port? Check-in at the port takes all of 1 minute nowadays anyways.
JohninDC Posted December 19, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 19, 2019 I agree with BNBR - ride to POM, drop your bags with the porters there, and then check in.
BlueHerons Posted December 23, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2019 I would just take my bags with me instead of dropping them off. Why wait in line at all?
WashCoCruisers Posted December 26, 2019 #5 Share Posted December 26, 2019 When we checked in at the POM, we didn't wait in line at all. We arrived at our boarding time, did our check-in duties, and walked the plank onto the ship!! Not sitting around waiting to board!!
