Hi

We are going on a 5 night cruise from Southampton tomorrow on Ventura .

Our cabin is R745 and apparently below one of the restaurants / buffet .

Has anyone had experience of this cabin ?

Will we be disturbed by noise from the restaurant/ buffet above us ?

Asking as we had such an awful problem in MSC recently that we hardly slept for the first 2 nights .

Thankyou for any advise or help , with this or any other tips for Ventura ( we are travelling with our very well behaved 8 year old son )

Thankyou

Depending on exactly where you are located you will get some noise in this area, chairs scraping, trolleys rattling etc. It should not however be enough to affect your sleep unless you are particularly sensitive to noise so please don’t worry about it. Just go and have a lovely cruise.

Hi

Thanks for your quick reply 😊

We dont normally worry about these things it’s just that we had such a problem on MSC .
We are the last inside Cabin on Deck 14 aft .

Thanks again , we are really looking forward to our festive cruise and sailing Ventura again ( it’s been 6 years )

Appreciate your help 😌

This inside cabin is well sited for nipping out the back door onto open decks about the terrace pool area. It is also convenient for the aft stairwell.  On Ventura access to/from Baytree Restaurant is always a bit tricky as the only lift going direct to that restaurant is  the aft stairwell group due to galleys blocking level access.  When you use other lifts you need to change lifts at any intermediate deck then walk aft  or walk aft along deck 7 then down one set of the aft stairs.  This makes the aft lifts a bit crowded just before dinner but easier to get in if you start on a high deck like Riviera.  Getting in on 7 is tricky as they are jam packed however friendly staff respectfully ask people if they would not mind getting out walking down the one deck to allow them to load wheelchair passengers who are somewhat snookered.

Regards John

We are on same cruise, just getting organised now, wish I could learn to pack light. Even for 5 days we have lots of luggage, depending on what the weather might do.  Really looking forward to it.

Same here, seem to have more luggage than our 14 night cruises...

All that 'just in case' stuff that we will probably not use...

It’s because we don’t have a flight and it’s a novelty to take whatever we like !
