gaa2 Posted December 31, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2019 Would appreciate comments from anyone who has stayed in both. We are really enjoying our aft Oceania Suite on Marina but it is not an option on the Nautica. We are thinking about a Vista Suite. We recognize the major difference is stem versus stern but would like to hear other observations. Also, any deck preference? Thank you!
Rare Noxequifans Posted December 31, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2019 We love the Oceania suites on the Riveria but book an Owners suite on the Insignia (not the Vista suite). We understand that when underway the furniture on the Vista is often tied down due to the headwinds. This also limits the use of the verandah. orchestrapal Posted December 31, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2019 You need to get an OS on the R ships to be equivalent to an Oceania Suite. there is really no comparison.

The views from the bow of the ship, where the Vista Suites are located, are incomparable. However, wind can be an issue at the front of the ship, and there are lighting restrictions, i.e. curtains closed at dusk when cabin lights are on/limited outdoor illumination after dark, which must be respected. As an overview, the Veranda of a Vista Suite will be less useable while the ship is at speed, but those times when the ship is entering or leaving a port, the vantagepoint is beyond thrilling!
