Wave season discount - what is good deal?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am looking at a specific RC cruise for 2021 that I am looking to book.  They now have an offer of BOGO 60%; I have an adittional offer of 480$ OBC from a travel agent.

This seems like a good deal to me; but I haven't booked many cruises.

What sort of discounts can I expect during wave season from RC?  Should I wait a bit longer; or is 60% the best I'm going to get?   I was looking for a deal with beverages included but have already been informed RC doesn't give those away very often.

Ignore the "percent off" figures touted by Royal, they are meaningless.  Just look at the bottom line cost.

Plus, if you are booking under US/Canadian rules, you can get a price drop until final payment date, so it does not pay to wait.

Can I book under US rules if I use an American TA? I live in Europe.

Thanks!

Yes, though you may have to give a US address.  We have friends in the UK and Germany that use US travel agents to book RC cruises.
