Not knowing what ports you will be visiting, I will give you our two picks for whale watching excursions. 

In Juneau, we really like Jayleen's Alaska and in Icy Strait, we like Glacier Wind.  Both vendors are well organized and provide an excellent experience.  Here are the links so you can get general information and see reviews.  More reviews can be found in this Alaska thread and in TripAdvisor.

We used Harv and Marv in Juneau they were great and dropped us off at Mendenhall Glacier on the way back to town.  I believe most of the tour operators will do this if you ask.

I really really really wanted to go with Jayleen's in Juneau also.  Unfortunately they are booked for the day I'll be in port.

I've followed her on Facebook and they never seem to disappoint.

I'm sure you can't go wrong with either.  We've been with Harv and Marv 3 times so it's our go to.  But, I think you'd be great with whoever you went with.

Last Summer, they posted on Facebook each day from their trips.  The pictures were amazing. I would wish every day I had been there.

Yeah!  We have gone with Jayleen 6 times and will be doing another two trips in May.  I know your trip has gotten off to a rough start.  Wishing you a smooth sailing and many happy memories of your Alaska journey.
