Quick $5 cab ride or about a 20+ minute walk will get you to Carlisle Bay - white sand, clear water, and a number of beach clubs that will rent you chairs, umbrellas, etc.  Boatyard, Harbor Lights and Lobster Alive are the most often suggested.

I have an excursion booked later in the day that starts around 3. Need to figure out what to do beforehand. What is nearby the port area that’s easy to and from? Open to anything really whether it be beaches or restaurants.

Close to the port (Carlisle)?  Then take a long lunch at Champers.  Best to book in advance as very popular with Bridgetown discerning vacationers.
