Miami Post-cruise Suggestions

Wasn’t sure what specific words to use for this search, sorry if I am repeating requests.

We have all dang day til 7 pm to get to the airport after the cruise. Not interested in getting off the ship super early, so looking for something leisurely to do.

Does it make more sense to rent a car for a day to store our luggage to go to South Beach or something to eat and relax, or do you guys do something else?

What are some things you’ve done to pass the time when you are stuck with luggage, instead of sitting at the airport?

Thank you!

The first thing I would do is look into if your cruise line has a luggage program to take your luggage direct to the airport.

The second thing would be to see what excursions your cruise line has that drop you at the airport later in the day.

Lastly, as  frequently recommended here, the water taxi is great for spending many hours. Also, others will chime in with their luggage storage tips, which are discussed here frequently.

Check www.resortpass.com for resorts and large hotels offering day passes to their pool, beach and spa facilities. Yup them to store your bags while you swim, sun and relax.

Uber to South Beach and store your bags at the Luggage Lounge. Then you are free to explore - boozy brunch, people watching, hip on/off bus tour, art deco architecture, etc.
