Tricia724 Posted February 1, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2020 The cruise we are considering booking currently has a $500 air credit offer. Right now there is very reasonable airfare available, and we would prefer to book our own flights. The last time a cruise line booked our flights there were problems we'd rather not repeat. If we choose not to use the air credit, is it a "use it or lose it" situation, or would we be able to get any kind of credit from Seabourn on our cruise fare? wesport Posted February 1, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2020 It’s a use it or lose it. Why not book the reasonable flight with seaborne and make them more reasonable.
chaunceyb Posted February 5, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2020 As United Mileage members we normally book our own air with United. We are going on our first Seabourn cruise this July and decided to use their air department to book our air. We were totally satisfied with their efficiency and expertise in booking our round trip flight from Honolulu to London, and they were able to get us very good Business class fares on United and to top it off we will be earning miles! Also when you book with Seabourn they include airport transfers from ship.
Tricia724 Posted February 8, 2020 Author #4 Share Posted February 8, 2020 Thanks for your responses. We probably will give them a chance to see what they can offer.
chaunceyb Posted April 6, 2020 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2020 How things change! Turns out we just canceled our Seabourn booked air and booked directly with United - two main reasons: 1. We had a credit with United from a canceled April 8 flight 2. United currently offering fares that are a little cheaper than what we booked with Seabourn for July. FYI, you can cancel your air with Seabourn up to the final payment day as the reservations are not ticketed until the final payment date.
