beloum Posted February 2, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2020 We are scheduled to be in Cozumel from 1200 to 2200. Really wanted to do an AI (Nachi or Mr Sancho), but am afraid by time we get off ship and taxi over, just won't be enough time to be worth it. Plus good spots may already be taken (shade, palapas, etc). Any thoughts from you guys who may have arrived later in the day?
JohninDC Posted February 2, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2020 You should be able to walk off just after noon, which means after the cab ride you will arrive about 1:00 when many of the early birds are leaving. They close at 5:00 unless the hours have been extended due to ships staying late (sometimes happens, usually at Sanchos). Not sure when you cruise but t will get dark sooner or later. Is 4 or a bit more hours enough to make the AI fee worthwhile? It is you call.
c-leg5 Posted February 2, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2020 (edited) Also take into account time of year, ship time and ACTUAL local time. Clubs typically close 5pm local time. As John said some clubs (Nachi) have late opening for ships that arrive after noon (local time) until 6. Ships from Galveston/New Orleans will likely be 1 hour behind local time in winter. Ships from east coast will likely be 1 hour ahead in summer. With some clubs (eg Sky Reef) consumption is limited to 4 hours, AI anyway, I think. It all depends what facilities and activities you require and where you choose to go. Edited February 2, 2020 by c-leg5
cruising with the family Posted February 11, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2020 Also interested in this topic. We are cruising in April, so definitely during daylight savings time, leaving from the east coast. So does that mean it will really be 11?

Most ships stay on the time of the home port, so yes in April the east coast should be an hour ahead of Coz local time. As always, use a watch, not your cell phone, set to ship's time to avoid being late and missing the ship! 😲
