anniebea Posted February 5, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2020 We have a cruise booked for July with Tui, - 2 cabins, 4 passengers, Unfortunately my friend and her husband are splitting up, She still wants to come on the cruise and we are looking at options so that the three of us girls can still go. Trying to evaluate what the options could be before I call the cruise line.. We pay for both cabins and her husband is just a no show - would that cause any issues, apart from the fact that it would be expensive We try and rebook a cabin for singe occupancy? Think most ships don't have them though and you pay for a double cabin. We try and book a cabin for three but I think that would include a sofa bed. anything else We are sailing from the UK so there are no flights involved. Anyone been in a similar situation and could offer advice. Anne
cb at sea Posted February 5, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2020 Whether you allow the No-show or book a single cabin, it will be about the same price....you could check if there is something less expensive before you cancel 1 cabin....You know cabins are priced based on 2 in a cabin.... There are cabins with pullman beds...so the 3rd person actually gets a real mattress. If the existing cabin doesn't have pullmans, you would have to try and change your booking. UK rules are different, as far as changes/cancellations go...
Rare Essiesmom Posted February 5, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2020 You need to ask this on the board here for the cruise line you are sailing. When you say TUI, I'm not sure if you are referring to Marella or the German branch, TUI/Mein Schiff. EM
