JacqueO Posted February 12, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2020 Hey all, We are considering a cruise to Alaska next Summer. My daughter will have just turned 11 - but she is TINY. Is there a way or a website that I can visit to see the shore excursions and the restrictions (age/size/weight)? I am looking on RC's website and I can't access it without booking a cruise. What the restrictions are will highly affect if we go in 2021 or wait until the following year. Thank you so much. Jacque
alasbound Posted February 12, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2020 Hopefully someone will have a better answer. But sometimes I am able to do a general search - not on the cruise site - and get to them. Such as search Royal Carribean Juneau excursions. If not, you may be able to call the cruiseline and someone should be able to see them. Or possibly, someone booked can find it for you. Fingers crossed for you. CHEZMARYLOU Posted February 12, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2020 Here's a link to RC shore excursion brochures. Even though you do not have a cruise booked you can enter in the sail date and ship as though you are booked. Just look to see what ship sales in Alaska and go from there. www.royalcaribbean.com/beforeyouboard/shoreExcursions/downloadBrochure/
Rare misguy Posted February 12, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2020 You can also do general port research on Trip Adviser, most of the same tours are there as what the ships offer.
Kevin's girl Posted February 12, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2020 This link works nicely too. Just click on the ports you would be considering. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/destinations/shoreExcursions/ports/view.do?DestinationCode=ALCAN
Kitty Ellas Mom Posted February 22, 2020 #6 Share Posted February 22, 2020 What particular shore excursions are you interested in? In my experience of planning my Alaska cruise (which I haven't been on yet, just FYI) it seems like there are lots of things to do that don't have any sort of requirements like that. Like the train in Skagway. For example, I was worried that I wouldn't find things for myself to do b/c I'm not that physically fit but there were many options in each port. I agree with whomever suggested calling Royal Caribbean, even if you find some info online, b/c they might have ideas you haven't thought of. Also suggest looking at Royal Caribbean boards on this site.
bonvoyagie Posted March 11, 2020 #7 Share Posted March 11, 2020 Also look at www.cruiseportinsider.com they have good descriptions of the various tours the ships offer and which lines offer which tours. And yes the same operators provide similar tours to all cruise lines.
