Bus to Cemetery Beach?

Hi all!  We are looking to do a DIY trip to Cemetery Beach to snorkel on our upcoming cruise in March.  I have found the bus routes and maps online and that it is pretty easy to just flag them down on the road to get back to the bus depot.  What I can't seem to find is if the stops listed below are the only places they stop on the way out or if you let them know where you want to go when you get on if they will drop you somewhere close?  The Governor's Residence, the Turtle Center and Hell all look to be somewhat of a hike from Cemetery so we may take a taxi out if those would be the only stops.  Thanks to anyone that can provide any knowledge!  🙂

They’ll happily stop wherever.  When you board, just let the driver know where you want to get off and they’ll pull over to let you off at that location.  There aren’t really any fixed stops.

And as far as being picked up, if you wait by the side of the road, usually a passing bus will honk their horn at you.  If you wave at them in reply they will stop and pick you up.

Just returned from our cruise and had a great day at Cemetery Beach including snorkeling on the reef. We took the bus back to the port and it was a breeze. There is a bus stop right across the street on the main road that runs by the beach. Keep an eye out for a a big van that has Public Bus written across the front. Wave them down, hop on and tell them you want to get back to the port. $2.50/person. We waited about 5 min for it. This was actually quicker than the "taxi" we took to the beach which was loaded with 20 people, made several stops dropping people off and cost $7 each. There are 2 exits from the port area. We made the mistake of following the crowd through the exit towards your right that says "To Ground Transportation". This brings you to the minibus taxis. You need to exit the gate to the  left of this and straight ahead. This puts you into the town. To find the bus depot in downtown Georgetown, make a left after exiting the gate, walk to the traffic light and turn right. After 2 blocks you are in the main square and the bus depot is across the street next to the city library. Just ask someone there that you want to go in the direction of West Bay to Cemetery Beach and I suspect you will find the right bus and tell the driver to drop you off at Cemetery Beach. Have fun.

Head to the town clock to find the local buses.  There is a firestation across the road from the entrance to the trail to cemetery beach.  We found this out when we got caught in a lightning storm with no shelter.  They let us in and could not have been any nicer.  Have fun!
