JulieODC Posted February 15, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2020 Hi all! I’ve got my eye on the August 16 2029 cruise from Dublin to Boston on the Summit. We’d be traveling with kids - 8 and 5 - and I’m a wondering whether there will many kids in the ship. It’s towards the end of summer, so a little uncertain. We did similar Iceland/Norway itinerary on DCL last summer, and just a little worried that we’d feel out of place on this one with little ones. thoughts? Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted February 15, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2020 I doubt that the 2029 itineraries are out yet. If you're referring to this year's August 16 cruise from Dublin to Boston, I haven't seen any mention of children on this cruise yet. It's 14 nights. There is an active roll call, you might want to check it out.
JulieODC Posted February 15, 2020 Author #3 Share Posted February 15, 2020 Oops typo! I’m a planner, but not that much of an advance planner! yes the 14 night - we did one almost that long last year. Will check out the role call - thanks for the suggestion!
Syrreal Posted February 16, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2020 Even if there aren’t many kids on board, there will be plenty for them to do, especially if they enjoy kids club. We did a 12 night Arctic Circle cruise when mine were 7 & 3 and there were only 10 kids under 16 on board and my kids had a blast plus a ton of individual attention. DrivesLikeMario Posted February 16, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 16, 2020 Sometimes the kids' programs are even better when there are fewer onboard. They get to do more fun things. I would seriously doubt there will be many onboard but that can be a good thing! My kids always loved it when there were hardly any other kids in the kids' programs. There was more room to move around, they got to do more of the activities they wanted to do and they made good friendships.
