Funny that was the first thing I did when I booked my next cruise was to "check" the status of that. Sad that I was expecting it to be wrong and surprised when it wasn't. Anyone know if the casino host will allow my DW to buy a beverage package for one? I don't need one (though maybe if I did I would save money in the casino)
nolimits Posted February 22, 2020 #27 Share Posted February 22, 2020 (edited) I received my certificate and bottle of wine on 3rd day at dinner time , I was down quite a bit at that time. A double 0,A 0and a 17 in a row fixed that by Third spin I had max bet on my 6 #s so did my wife third nt. 1 spoke to host last nt before playing, Gave some back that nt left ship down 300$ considering I was down 20x that at one point it was all good , Except for my point total 1630. I called after reading this thread .The host also upgraded my certificate to ocean view .I guess being polite while (crying )about my point count helped . They obviously have discretion over instant certificates Note. My wife is not rated she does not gamble , But knows when I hand her Black chips put them where I put mine .Her win not on my tracking 2500-+ they did not have on my play ,So it would appear I was down a lot more Edited February 22, 2020 by nolimits

We all know who we are and we all know what benefits that come from gambling while we cruise. We treasure our points, we watch them like a hawk, and we all know that the 2500 point threshold gets you to a level that gets you the free cruise, free drinks in the casino... Let me tell you that we cruise twice or more a year and ALWAYS make sure we get to the Prime level. Anything under it is really counter productive benefits wise. My wife and I sailed on Serenade with my parents in September and I accumulated 1386 not many but enough under the circumstances. We sailed January 4th with 9 of us including our grandson so we knew Casino time would be down but knew we only needed to get 1114 points (piece of cake). This is where we REALLY GOT SHAFTED. I went to book our 2021 January cruise and wanted to add something to our September Oasis cruise so I called the Casino Royale line. Everything was great until the rep told me my point total they had on file for my 2 cruises. I was horrified to hear they had us down for 2492, 8 points short of prime which is the equivalent of 40.00 in a slot machine. I can tell you one thing and my wife will vouch for me. I am as anal as it comes about my points and I ALWAYS leave the ship following up with the casino host before I cash out my points on the final day to play on my machine. My point total was 1216 on the machine not even including my table play which was VERY MINIMAL. I went through management, talked to 3 casino Reps and sent a very detailed letter to Mr. Bayleys office. For my efforts I got a call saying I am out of luck and pretty much told me I have a few more weeks to get on another cruise to get those 8 points. We are both devastated and disappointed that they pretty much did'nt believe us at all. We live in Maine so we cant just drive to a cruise port and take a 3 day cruise to get my measly 8 points. A lot of you will think this is petty and we should get over it but in the end the benefits of being prime are pretty significant. Being told we are wrong when I can honestly swear on my life that we are POSITIVE we where over 2500 points kills me. Those that play I am sure you feel my pain as that thresh hold is what we all strive for. We are diamond and have truly loved all of our cruises over the years but to have them "kick us to the curb" is mind blowing. Not sure I have anywhere else to turn to at this point except sail all next year as choice (which will kill me). So my loss is your gain as I WARN YOU ALL that play in the casino. WATCH YOUR POINTS CLOSELY AND TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR READOUT. I would not waste any of your time if I was not POSITIVE we have been wronged in this case. Dan If you had over 1200 points on serenade did you receive the $300 off certificate that comes with getting 1200+ points. If so that should be proof for CSR on the phone that have enough points to be prime thru march 2021. Now remember you cannot use that benefit til mid april this year. You can get your free drinks but not your free cruise selection to april 2020

On 4/1, your points start again from 0.
