California Traveler Posted February 21, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2020 (edited) We will be cruising the 10 day Gold Coast cruise on the Sun on Easter. Does Princess do anything special, any special events or menu? Edited February 21, 2020 by California Traveler
chrysalis Posted February 21, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2020 They have a special menu, activities for kids, and usually a lot of decorated chocolate eggs on display in the Piazza.
Qcruise Posted February 21, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2020 Our first ever cruise sailed over Easter aboard the Diamond in around 2005.....our twins were 10 at the time and we took nanna she was in room with them. The ship was decorated with Easter type stuff and they did have an Easter service in Explorers Lounge. I remember how odd it felt to us that day as Easter never was that for our family. It was nice they offered a service.
frugaltravel Posted February 21, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2020 I think it partly depends on the cruise director. On the sailing I was on over Easter, the cruise director held a non-denominational worship service. I think he asked for volunteers to assist in various ways. Very nice touch. Mike45LC Posted February 21, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 21, 2020 Princess does not arrange for a priest or minister to be on board. Maybe the Cruise Director will hold a non-denominational service or some sort, but it was not emotionally/ spiritually satisfying for my family. (We went to Mass at the next port of call for our own needs.) There were non-religious Easter decorations and events, and a special dinner menu.
