Last minute booking

Has anyone ever booked a cruise the week before it departs and used their airfare? I am just wondering if you had any problems with getting your documents or getting airfare from the cruise line?

You can always pick up your docs at the pier, but you may have to pay thru the roof for airfare. A lot of advertised "bargains" turn out to be terribly expensive if you have to fly at the last minute.

Never done it myself, but everything can be done electronically, so no need for cruise docs or paper tickets...

Have seen a lot of people picking yp their final papers at the pier because of booking cruises the last week. Talked to a couple of them - they lived in the Ft Lauderdale and of course for them it was easy to get to the port. But for anyone having to fly, both the cruise line and the air lines will charge TOP dollar for last minute fares. And you can be certain that the cruise line will get you the worst possible flights.
