How Early Can you drop off luggage at New Orleans Cruise Terminal?

Going on a cruise leaving March 9th on Majesty leaving from New Orleans.  We will be arriving early AM and would like to drop our luggage off at ship before touring some of the French Quarter before our scheduled 1:30 boarding.  How early will there be porters available at the cruise terminal to check in our luggage?

Likely sometime after 9 - BTW, you can board any time after boarding has started, you can ignore your scheduled time.

We sailed out of NOLA in November with NCL and it was chaos, took ages to get in (traffic) and the same getting out so bear this in mind.
