Casino open while at Great Stirrup and the Bahamas?

Just wondered if the casino was open while at either of these stops?

It will be open at GCS, with the table games opening at about 1pm (maybe 2pm). 

 

But not while in Nassau unless you miss GSC when scheduled (due to winds/weather which is common) and head directly to Nassau that day to stay overnight there if next day is already schedule to be in Nassau.  In that case I believe the casino will open in the evening around 6pm while docked.

Was on the Sun last August for a 3 nighter.  We stopped in Nassau and GSC.  We did not get off the ship and planned to play a while in the casino while in GSC but it never opened.  I had been on the same ship/itinerary a few months prior to that and the casino was open.  I asked about the closure and the casino manager said they changed the policy.  This was August 2019.  Not sure if it's been reversed but maybe someone can chime in with more recent experience.

Was on the Sun recently and the casino is closed while at GSC.  Some new Bahamian policy is what I was told.  It used to be open.

Really?? Been on many GSC runs and the casino is never open while there.  Good to know. Thanks. 

 

Side note: while in Bermuda, the casino is open 9pm to 5am while docked
